TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Nick Green allowed just three hits over six innings, leading the Tampa Tarpons over the Dunedin Blue Jays in a 4-0 win on Wednesday.
Green (4-1) struck out six and walked one to pick up the win.
In the first inning, Tampa took a 2-0 lead on a single by Nathaniel Coronado that scored Angel Aguilar and Alexander Palma. The Tarpons scored again in the seventh when Aguilar hit an RBI double and then scored on a single by Isiah Gilliam.
Angel Perdomo (0-2) went four innings, allowing two runs and five hits in the Florida State League game. He also struck out five and walked three.
The Blue Jays were held off the scoreboard for the fourth time this season, while the Tarpons’ staff recorded their sixth shutout of the year.
